Width of cars

I am looking for a guide/listing of the width of cars .
I am looking to buy a new (to me car) but don't want to waste time considering cars that don't fit into my garage.
I've searched around the obvious places, & can find info on manufacturers sites about new cars, but am finding it difficult to find info on old(er) cars
Anyone have any idea

or
look online in google "name of car + dimensions" sometimes brings in the goods.

Doubt you will find a comprehensive list anywhere.

Parkers has the dimensions of any new model out there, in their Tech Specs section.

For example here for the Honda Civic:

They have similar details about older vehicles, but they get a bit patchy beyond 7/8 years old.
