I have searched for a similar post on here but I havn't found it. Sorry if I'm duplicating anyone.
£50 cash back on car and home insurance with the Post Office.
Heres what the leaflet says:
You can already make big savings on our low cost car and home insurance PLUS, until the end of march we'll send you £50 worth of postal orders.
In the small print it says £50 cash back applies to either car or combines buildings and contents insurance. If you take both out you will get £100.

You might be able to better this with Zurich Insurance via TCB - £90 cashback at present. From what I gather from the TCB thread on the Referrer's Board, you can get this several times as well (though I have no proof for it).
As always, though, the devil's in the detail - such as the T&Cs of the policies and the policy premiums. I haven't compared Zurich and PO, so can't offer any view on this.
Edited: TCB also have Lloyds car insurance with approx £95 cashback (approx because Lloyds pay TCB in USD)0 -
black-saturn .... don't see any mention of £50 off home insurance on their site ... there is though £50 off home phone bill ??
don't forget using https://www.topcashback you can get a further £45 off each of Post Office home and car insurance. !!0 -
I was just copying the info found on the leaflet which I picked up at the post office.
Perhaps if you call the freefone number they will have more advice.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

I dont actually have a car so I dont have car insurance and I also dont have contents insurance. I prefer to put the equivalent of a premium in an ISA for emergencies.
But I thought it might benefit someone else.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

There is definitely £50 off home insurance too, so if you get both, you get £100 cashback.
As I said in the other thread, make sure you quote the reference MBRA04 before you do anything else, as it has to be added on at the start of a quote, and cannot be added on to an existing policy.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Hi, I'm sorry to be dense but what does the code, EMBRA04 mean ?
I got a quote with insuresupermarket.com and it said that £50 was included with the quote. So, would this code get an additional discount ?
This is with the Post Office, incase there is any doubt.0 -

How do you know its £45 from topcashback, as it states:
"....Earn cashback from £15.00 to £45.00 for insurance ....."
How are you guaranteed the maximum?0 -
The code MBRA is for when you call to get a quote!Wolfhound wrote:Hi, I'm sorry to be dense but what does the code, EMBRA04 mean ?

I tried 3 times today to get a car and house quote from the PO via a link here and each time I clicked on the 'get quote' button the screen I was in froze and the quote never appeared.. I tried to go back but was unable to....
I might try again tomorrwo going directly from a search engine and see if it works ...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
