Monthly investment?

Options
Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice regarding where to place my monthly savings or if they are in the best place at the moment.

Work is looking up and I'll soon have a lot more money for savings coming in than before. As such i'm looking to invest between 3-5K a month into some sort of savings account. At the moment this goes straight into a halifax web saver account, and i'm looking to get an ISA pre and post april which should take care of a couple of payments. Any other recommendations? I don't really need access to the money anytime soon, so if there's a delay between accessing the money which leads to a higher rate i'll be interested.

My question is, should I be sticking with the websaver or move it into another account. Should I be investigating low risk stock investments instead? I'm looking to accumulate 100K+ into whatever account over the years.

Personal preference. No-one can tell you want to do. They could be high risk, low risk or havent got a clue themselves.

Generally, the higher the risk you take, the higher the potential return will be but also the increased potential for losing some of the value. Risk is also associated with time scale.

Saving (low risk) and investing (varying risk) are two different things - which are you after? If you're just after plain savings, look at Martin's Money Fountain: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1103213261,45760,
