Bluetooth Connection

I have lost the bluetooth connection on my computer, neither of my phones or my satnav will now communicate with it.
I have tried everything I know, looked on many sites for answers, but none found, it looks as though a Vista re-instal is called for, unless anyone has an answer.

have you tried restarting your PC?
or reinstalling the bluetooth software? (i have never used Vista, is it built-in?)
have you checked your bluetooth settings on the PC to make sure it is switched on?The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
I never had the bluetooth software, it is built into Vista.0

Also, the bluetooth icon, in control panel does not let me proceed any further the the first tab.:mad:0
