Student loan company - messed up and not fixing it!

ok, so since August my student loan has been going into the wrong account every month. An old student acount which i am trying to pay off, which was fine before as i was paying £100 a month to it, and i get £134 a month from Student loan company, so effectively i was making a £34 overpayment to the old account every month
...with me?
But the bank have now FINALLY listened, and realised i can't afford £100 a month, and have agreed that i can just pay £50 to it a month from Jan.
But my bursary from SAAS (£214 a month) has been going into the right bank account from the begining, and they sent all my details to the student loan company, but they are still paying it to this old account, because thats where it went last year!
Anyway i have phoned them up about 3 times to tell them of their mistake, and they took the RBS account details and said it would be sorted...2 months later and it is still being paid into the old account.
Even after having a letter from them, confirming the change of bank details nearly 2 months ago!
So should i try phoning them again, as i really dont want the £134 to go straight into the old account anymore, as i only need to pay £50 to it now, and the other £84 would be better going to other debts at the moment.

Hi.
Firstly I'd log in to SAAS' website to make sure your bank details are correct. The reason for this, is that all the information that SAAS hold should overwrite SLC's. Eg. if you changed your bank details on SAAS' website just now, the old bank details would be overwritten on SLC's system after midnight tomorrow.
If the information is up to date on SAAS' site, the only thing you can do is phone SLC again unfortunately. The system they use for Scottish students isn't great and sometimes it's easy to forget to save. If you ask them to make sure it's 'linked' correctly to your new bank details, they should know what you're talking about.
Hope that helps somewhat.0 -

Gonna have to phone the student loan company again, i just don't understand how they can send me a letter confirming the change of bank details, then not actually change it!0 -
