Just picked up one of the cameras. The price in the shop was listed at £79.99 but when it was scanned it came up at £49.99. Will check it out and see the quality. If I'm not happy I can return it back to the shop. Comes complete with charger, batteries, memory card, cables, the lot.
Argos still have it list at £129.99.
  • Popped in my local Sommerfield this morning.
The SEL said £49.99, so I did not bother.

Would have went for it if it was £39.99 as previously suggested.

I bought one for £49.99 and am pleased with it, especially as it includes the batteries and charger.

Mine didn't have a memory card though Kendie, there was even a note in the box saying it's not supplied.
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D
  • In my local Somerfield (Ryton) they also have some Fuji Finepix F440 (tiny little 4 megapixel) camera. The Fuji had a further £20 off so it is now £80. At that price I got one. It's no longer a current model, but the reviews I've seen on it are all good and typical selling prices around the web seem to be around £180-£250.

Not as cheap as the Lumicron, but a better bargain perhaps?

    This is the Fuji; http://www.cameras.co.uk/specs/fuji-finepix-f440.cfm

Thoroughly recommended if you need a handy usb xd card reader - wonder what card the lumicron takes - I have a spare 512mb sd card hanging around...er, and one of them £2.49 camera cases from tesco recently but even my laptop takes an sd card direct so wouldn't mind a second cheapo camera for hubby to simply snap and then give away to his nephew * as per usual *. Mine of course is a fuji F10...courtesy of boots points (of course!)

Mine did. It was in a little plastic thing and in a small plastic bag in the with carry strap/instruction booklet. Check to make sure its not already in the camera (down the side by the batteries) as camera has no internal memory so a memory card is needed to store photos. I'd got a note in mine that says "Please note this camera requires an SD memory Card to record any still or video images".

My biggest gripe - the instruction book is next to useless. I'd taken a couple of snaps and wanted to find about all the features - instruction book is a "quick start guide". However found you can download decent instruction book from their web page.

  • HI, if your searching for one of those barg cameras, have a look at the dreamy sat navs too. For my money it would have to be the Medion at £130, not only is it a fab sat nav (thats also handheld) you can actually pop it in your pocket. It has a large screen, but wait for this, when we got our home we found out it was also a personal handheld PC with full windows operating system, Word, Excel, MP3 Player, Photo Image view (just had to pop in a photo memory card and up popped all our pics on screen) What a barg...... and its in a sexy silver colour with all mod con accesories too.

No, definitely didn't get one, I can't even go back cos the note says it's not included. Oh well, still a bargain.

My sister bought one on Saturday from another Somerfield & hers had 128mb card with it so have been there this morning with my original one & swapped it for one with a memory card in.
