WTD: account + cash card for a 9 yr old

Options
Does anyone know of a bank or building soc. account that will give a 9 year old a card to use for cash machines (or even a debit card!).

I doubt there is one, but i'd like mine to have one.

Call me daft, but teach 'em early is my motto.

Not heard of banks offering debit cards to 9 year olds let alone cash cards
Think 16 is probably the youngest but I could be wrong

I found this some time ago for my kids - maybe it will help..

Most people are now familiar with prepaid mobile phones and the way they work - you load up airtime and use it until it runs out. The Splash Plastic card works in exactly the same way. The money you load onto the card is the money you have to shop online, you can top it up in your local high street
