does car insurance go up if??

hello can anybody explain what happens when each set of points,ie 3,then 6 ,then9 effect insurance premiums?

    your insurance goes up. Not sure if there is a calculation or if it's linear.

    by 6 points, you should be slowing down.

    just in case you dont know if you have been driving less than two years your licence is revoked if you have 6 points
    on it.

    There's no set scale. It depends on your age, sex, occupation, car, insurer and sometimes the scheme you are insured under with the insurer. For example a 18 year old may get a 10 to 30% loading for 3 points, whereas a mature woman may not even have a loading for 3 points.

  • my fisrt 3 points meant my insurance went up by £20,when i got another making it 6 points it went up by another £70 (well it was supposed to but i managed to wangle out of it for another year,by then my first 3 will be off)
