Basicaly decided to leave my post grad course which I got a bursary for so far have had £3350. When i withdrew I told the withdrawal people I obviously owe them money & wanted to pay it back she said she'll get finance to ring me cause she doesnt know anything about that??
Now week later not heard and still have this ££ in my savings account??
Should I wait for them to contact me & keep earning the interest or bug them to have it back asap??
Also they said there not sure If i am supposed to keep part of it for the 3months I studied??
Anyone had any experience of this thanks??

Just keep it until they ask for it back. You did the right thing and told them, its their problem if they aren't going to ask for it back.
Well done for being honest though, theres a lot of people who complain about their grants having to be paid back when they drop out!0 -
Thanks for your input
I purposely kept all my bursary & didnt spend any because I Wasnt enjoying my course & I'm fully prepared to pay it back & have told them I need to!!
I guess I just feel a bit awkward having this money in my account which isnt really mine!!0 -
Heck I get my bursary in arrears - assumed that was standard! I'ld have assumed that as it's for course costs a percentage of it you are entitled to.0

A week is no time at all really, especially this time of year.0

On a slightly separate topic, what bursaries/grants/loans are available to post grads? I'm thinking about going back to uni to do an 1 year full time MSc and don't know if I'd be able to completely afford to yet. Cheers
EDIT: Decided to start a new thread for this question so any replies greatly appreciated on there: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1352385
