Hello,
I need help with something I'm doing at uni and wondered if anyone here can help me.:D
We've got to do a presentation on Tues. It's not marked and I've had a week to prepare. It's a group thing but due to a catalogue of things I struggling.
Basically as the presentation isn't marked and we're bogged down with stuff that is marked, most of the group have sacked this presentation off, leaving me with lots of stuff to do:mad:
We've got to present laws and policy relevent to a person we have been asked to assess. So to cut it short I've got a law I need to find a policy to represent it. I've looked and looked but drawn up a blank.
Can anyone pease help, the law is:
National Health Services and Community Care Act (1990) section 46 & 47.
This law represents that the local authority has a duty to carry out an assessment on the service user, among other things....
So there a rather long post from a desperate student whose group don't care!!! anyone know a policy or not even a policy, just a nudge in hte right direction:rolleyes:
Many thanks
SL xx

I've had an e mail to say someone has replied to my post, however i can't seem to see it when I look back on my thread! I'm confused, I'm a regular poster on here so I don't understand why I can't view it.

Anyone have any ideas ( of course there's a possibility that you will reply and i wont be able to view it).:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I replied but deleted it as it didn't seem relevant when I went back to look at the site link I posted. But I'll repost the link;
http://www.opsi.gov.uk/ACTS/acts1990/ukpga_19900019_en_1
I found details of policies and acts on this site from my women's rights presentation last year. Not sure if it answers your question or helps at all. But that is were I found some details about women's rights and policies implemented. But that link goes to the act you posted above. But sounds like a real pain when your partners won't help you out with it...0 -
Ah, I thought I was going mad or my 6 wk old laptop was playing up when I clicked to view your post and it wasn't there.
Thank you for your link I'll look at it now. I appreciate your help.
My partners are useless, not turning up for meetings, not looking at their relevent laws, not looking for polices to accompany those laws and then having the cheek to ask what they're supposed to say when they present the laws and policies I've had to look for!! I really could go on and on, but I won't.
But again, thank you for your reply
