bhs - 20% off in their restaurant with a bhs receipt

Options
I went into bhs today, and the offers which were on were
  1. 20% off everything
  2. 20% off in the restaurant with a receipt from bhs (no minimum spend) (does not included the restaurant receipt or coffee shop)
We were going for breakfast in there £2.99 for 8 items and there are 2 of us, so £5.98 for 2 breakfasts. We had our own drinks outside their store afterwards.

We picked up a bag of chocolates for 55p for my sons christmas stocking, came to 43p at the tills due to the 1st offer of 20% off at the normal tills. We asked for our voucher for the 20% off in the restaurant. She wouldn't give it us as she said the bag of chocolate was classed as a restaurant purphase!!!

Right!!! I had bought a bag of chocolates no where near the restaurant and the offer said that you would be given a 20% off voucher for the restaurant if any product was purphased outside of their restaurant or coffee shop, the chocolate was purphased outside of the restaurant or coffee shop. We spoke to manager. Now we had 2 old dears telling us no sorry no 20% off for the restaurant. By this time we were fuming!!!

So we spoke to the store manager. After walking round all three floors looking at the small print on the offer notice boards, the store manager was still convienced that the bag of chocolates bought for 43p on a normal, non restaurant or coffee shop till was classed as a resturant purphase.

Anyway the store manager decided we weren't going to back down and gave us the 20% of in the restaurant anyway.

We saved £1.20 :D

Every little helps!!!

  • I have and would continue to do so, over much less as well.

Why should companies be allowed to fleece customers? Just because it is a relatively small amount does not excuse the practice. To many people, such amounts of money can be a lot.

If you disagree, I will happily set up a shop which you are more than welcome to shop in. You won't of course, get ay change, and I wont honour any discounts.

    But you don't mind, right?
