If anyone fancies an update .... finally reached settelement on the matter !
Trading standards were taking a very proactive approach to my complaint, they were questioning the trader concerned and were contemplating prosisuting them (which I understand they may still do, as I was told the trader was not co-operating with the enquiry process from TS) ! In addition my credit card company supported me in my complaint and legal stance in the matter .... given all of this - I was in corrispodance with the trader concerned, and just about to make a claim in the small claims court.
Then in the past few weeks a break-though, just before I was poised to give up negoition via letters and was to take the matter further - the trader agreed to effectivly supply one (not 2) at the discounted price. After consideration and contact with the Lawyer - who suggested it was a fairly reasonable settlement - I accepted.
So - A result ! .... rather happy !! :-) :T :j :money:0
