Sony camcorder error message :(

Hi All,
I would really appreciate some advice about my sonydcrpc5 mini DV camcorder. Its keeps ejecting the tape, showing a teardrop & error message c21.00 (or c20.00) i think keeps flashing up
Now when i used this on holiday, there was a humidity problem there, the waterdroplet sign did flash up, i dried it out & all was ok, but i am talking about 6 years ago!!
With the credit crunch, was wondering if its worth repairing/getting a new one?

Ok update called sony they agreed its a mositure problem, but the thing barely leaves the house & with the central heating on, if anything the air is dryer!
