Advice please: Laptop 15.4w/s or 15.0?

Hi,
I'm looking at buying a laptop and getting one cheap. I've worked out everything else but somethings it would be nice to ask someone who uses one.
Which do people think is best a 15.4ws or a 15.0 normal screen on a laptop?
I thought at first widescreen newer bound to be better, but then I looked at the 15.4 ones in Staples and thought not great for showing off the digital photos, which is one of the uses that I want a laptop for. Also wouldn't thinks be streeeetched?
I would be really grateful for other people's opinions.
