Hi and welcome SaneMoment. I don't have anything to add other than to welcome you to the board. As has been said above, it is worth phone National Debtline or CAB to get another opinion. If you don't own your property then an IVA is not for you. Be strong, a lot of us have been in your position with a reluctant partner!

neither am i dalip, im like a stoppy teenager at the best of times. and a spoit brat(could be why im single lol)
i just mean it as that women are normally the first to realise things are not quite right, men carry on like nothings wrong. even if youve got the ump with them over something, sitting there huffing and puffing and stamping your feet does nothing to them they dont even notice but unless you go OI MR sort it out they dont understandIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
Yes i know what you mean. Can relate to the stroppy, "whats wrong love" "NOTHING" scenerio:rotfl:
I think most women tend to be stronger and more practicle.....cue max:D .
From what i have seen on this forum,it is the women who seem to see and admit there is a problem first. They also seem to take the brunt of dealing with it too. Filling in the forms ect.
Like the previous poster said. Maybe a male ego thing and being seen as the breadwinner. In these times of financial cisis not sure there is such a thing as a breadwinner anymore:eek: .
I know the reason why my OH would not admit he was in trouble moneywise was that he was scared and his ego would be dented. Trouble is i am quite bitter now and things are not the same.
Sometimes i think we spend so much time focusing on debt(or how to get out of it) that other areas of a relationship suffer. After bc it can go one of two ways.
1) remove the debt and everythings is honky dory
2) remove the debt and realise you were blaming debt for relationship problems that would have been there anyway!
If that makes sense to anybody:o
I know what i mean anyway:rotfl:Free impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Are you with BT? i called them last week to explain about the unwanted phone calls and asked if they could change my number, they did it for free!!!
