Thanks for the explanation PBT2008!! It looks as though you're right, the majrity of the card isn't 0% anymore, so I guess I've been paying that off since I started, typical!! :rolleyes:LBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250

I took out a lob transfer rate of 4% then the AA took their annual payment from it. I reckon that AA payment, originally £45 is now festering at about £300 at the bottom of my barclaycard! Lesson Learnt!LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0

I am not an expert at this but my understand it is that once you have balance transferred to 0% you never spend on the balance transfer card and pay off the minimum. Then pay as much off as you can on cards with higher limits. Somewhere at the top of this forum is the link to snowball calculators. They tell you what debts to pay in what order and show you when you will be debt free. Good luck.0

Not posted for a cuple of days - hard to find the time with all the Xmas preparations!!
This is our first Xmas in our own house, so very excited about that! :j
Had a LSD yesterday, as was stuck in work all daybut on the plus side, it's hard to spend any money in work!
Have to pick up a couple of little last minute pressies today - why do you always forget someone?! - and some flu supplies for OH, who's feeling poorlybut apart from that, will hopefully be good on the spending front until after Xmas now
Totals as of today:
OnePoll - £4.55
Daily ScratchCard - £1.50
Toluna - 18205 points
STP - £1.85
Sealed Pot - £53.95
Just about given up on PureProfile - there's never anything on it!! But have joined Toluna, whic seems quite good, though 60000 points is a killer! Feeling quite pleased with myself at the totals above, been working hard on them! :T
Off to make a start on the house work, and do a little more time on SLP - hopefully get to £3.00 today!! :rolleyes:LBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250

Evening everyone
Not posted for a while - a combination of all the Christmas rush and the fact that my toothache took a turn for the worse, and have been floating about on so many painkillers for the past few days!
Hopefully all sorted now though, and although it's been Xmas, I've been trying hard to be good MSE-wise.
I've been checking in with the daily scratch and survey sites daily, although they seem to be few and far between just now...
Had Xmas at parents/OH's parents houses, so managed not to spend much at all, and was in too much pain to eat anyway, so still have lots of yummy sweets left over!
Been bad with doing SLP which I'll get back to tomorrow, and will hopefully get some more items listed on Ebay, although I was good before Xmas and am waiting on £40 moving from Paypal to my bank account :T
I'm also annoyed with myself because, although I joined a couple of mystery shopping sites, and have had a good few invitations, I've managed to miss them all, and by the time I realise I have an invite, it's been taken by someone else! So that's my aim this month - to actually accept and d a mystery shop!
Other than that, things are going well, trying very hard not to be dragged in with all the January sales!!
Feeling quite motivated just now, with 2009 just around the corner, I'm hoping to be halfway to being debt-free by this time next year - fingers crossed!! :rotfl:LBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250

Happy New Year everyone!!
Well, 2009 has started, and I've decided this is the year to get out of debt!
I have around £13000 worth of debt still to pay off, plus I'd love to be able to treat OH to a nice holiday somewhere since we didn't really get away anywhere last year.
So, thse are my 2 big aims for 2009:- Pay off debt (lol quite a big hope.... but you have to aim high!!)
- Save £1000 in seperate savings account, and use part of this for holiday somewhere hot
- Ebay - I'm not great at actually getting things listed, sold and posted, but I'm going to try hard!
- Slice the Pie - hoping to get a good lot of reviews done, and hit £10 a week on STP
- DooYoo - just joined, in the hope of making a little extra on here. Not taking vouchers, going to try and hit the £50 pay out in a few months time
- OnePoll - will keep churning away at this, though pay out seems a long way off, and not getting any closer. Also Toluna and Valued Opinions, but not counting these as payment will be in vouchers therefore won't add to my total
- Daily Scratchcard - only do one of these, will try to look into others. Taking a while, but will withdraw once I get to £10. Hard, because I play a couple of £s in the bingo rooms once in a while, so I don't feel to bad for just taking money for nothing!!
- Green Metropolis - have listed books on this, and have another load to put on. I've never sold anything on it yet, but I'll persevere as it's free to list, and the books are sitting there anyway!
- Sealed Pot - all my and OH's change 50p and under goes into the pot. It's only little, so once it get filled I'm going to transfer into an empty account so it's kept seperate. This is gonna be the start of our savings
- New Piggy Bank - I was given a new piggy bank for Xmas, which I'm putting a £1 coin into every night. By this time next year I'll have £365 in it (hopefully!) which will probably pay for Xmas next year, or make a chunk payment towards CCs, depending on our position then!
Wow, long post tonight, but I'm feeling motivated, and wanted to get everything down to keep me on track. wish me luck!!LBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250

Evening all
Had a busy day today, got lots of things done and was very MSE - only spent money on sellotape (as I ran out for Ebay parcels!) plus a few items picked up cheap to hopefully re-sell online.
Been working hard on surveys tonight, meant to do some STP but OH is napping beside me and I'm not motivated enough to go and find some headphones so as not to wake him up! So onwards and upwards with DooYoo!
Made loan payment and CC2 payment, but for some reason have not had a bill from CC1 this month. A couple of weeks ago I got a letter from them saying they were changing my 'pay by' date each month to one that would suit me better, and I've not heard from the since... :S Maybe will phone them tomorrow if I don't hear anything. I have the money put aside for the bill, but it seems silly to be keeping it aside when I could be paying it towards something else instead!
OD starts getting charged interest in July this year, so going to start this month and pay a bit off at a time for the next 6 months so I won't have too much to pay back then.
Other than that, have been good with my £1 a day piggy bank, and am looking forward to getting paid on Wednesday so I can sort my finances out and budget properly
Off work tomorrow, so will no doubt be around, looking for some more tipsLBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250

Also found out today about overpayments on our mortgage. A bit far off just now, but hoping to be in a position to do this in the next couple of years. Apparently we've allowed to overpay 100% of our monthly payment each month, effectively paying double each month, before we are penalised.
Don't know if this is the norm or not, but it sounds quite good to me.
Off to do the calculations now to see how soon I can be really totally debt free!LBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250
