investing for child

Hi...

I'm looking for suggestions for the best investment vehicle I could use to drip feed my young childs money into S&S (poss £50) per money..

shes got the halifax regular saver for her cash savings & an F&C stakeholder CTF (which I dont really want to plough more cash into becuase of the control thing)..

just wonder whats the best value vehicle & who with to get this cash into stocks etc?

thanks

Investment trusts or unit trusts where you wish to retain control.

I'd buy tinned food. You have to hedge against societal collapse which is an increasing risk and may come to fruition within your child's early adult life.

Tinned food has long Use By dates, but even so I don't think most of it would last until the child's early adult life.

Maybe you should skip watching programs like Survivors on TV

There are different levels of offering depending on your knowledge and experience. Relatively simple offerings for DIY (rather than through an IFA) and for unit trusts would be Hargreaves Lansdown's fund platorm. For investment trusts, F&C have a good direct to consumer range.

These are just two examples though. There are others.
