Anyone have a Toyota Auris TR?
I have just bought my dad an Ipod Nano, and thought about also getting him a Belkin gagdet to allow him to use it in the car.
However, I have a vague recollection that his new car came with a MP3 compatibility. Anyone know if this is right, and what it actually means? Can he play his ipod directly into the car or do I need to buy the gadget?
Hoping someone can help with this so I can avoid having to look in his car manual somehow without him seeing!!!

It does not have an input for a MP3 player with the standard radio.
It is possible to play CD-R discs containing MP3 files, so that you have up to 700 minutes of music on 1 disc.0 -
In my experience of FM transmitter type devices - they are a waste of time.
Just had a Dension Gateway 100 fitted to my Corolla that allows the Ipod to be controlled by the steering wheel audio controls. The Ipod acts as a multichanger CD player so you can scroll through playlists, artists, albums etc.
It was 140 fitted, which is more than the FM type but well worth it if you can afford it!
