Online Surveys - getting paid for them

Hi,

I fancy doing some online surveys to raise some extra cash - has anyone done this, and if so, which surveys did you do? Are there any that should be avoided?

  • We use http://www.yougov.com/ you get paid 50p - £1 per survey and get sent a cheque when you reach £50.

I'm on £49.50 right now so look forward to my second cheque.

registered with Ciao, but it takes a long long time to get any money. Think you have to be really keen and be able to answer the surveys as soon as you get notified to have any real chance. Haven't done one for about three weeks now.

Out of curiosity,,,,i have just joined the survey people you recommended in your posting,,,,,how long on average does it take to accumulate your £50? if you complet surveys on a frequent basis, and how frequently would this be?

Excuse me butting in! I've been with yougov for a good 18 months and am on £46.50. It certainly ain't a get rich quick scheme. Or perhaps I'm the "wrong" sort of person for them. ;)

I tried others as well, but quite honestly they were a waste of time. I'd answer a few preliminary questions on a survey and then be told I didn't fit the bill.......and this was, of course, after they'd had all my personal details to start with.

I stick with yougov as I enjoy voicing my opinion and will look on my £50 as a bonus. Should get there by the Summer. That will have been £25 earned per year. :o

Im with Yougov, quickwise, and ciao and wont ever be a millionaire thats for sure :)

I suppose over the two years Im close to making a my first hundred.

It all depends on your profile as to how many surveys come your way. YouGov send them out whenever something political hits the news - loads going in atm with the lib dem party leader elections.

I've got a long list of the sites I do and how successful I've been saved on my home computer - will post it when I get back tonight. I've made about £500 in 18 months on paid2click and survey sites. YL

I have been with yougov for about 2 years and have about £17.50 with them. So will be waiting a long time to get a cheque.

Mind you I have a slight problem with ciao. I ahve £13 in my account and want to withdraw it. but when I go to put in my bank details no padlock. So I am not going to do that. Any one else have problems with that.

  • Another good site I use is https://www.testandvote.com. It pays out in amazon vouchers which was great coming up to Xmas - I got £10's worth in just over 6 weeks of doing surveys, filling in my profiles and doing the quick votes.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.

I'm with Yougov. Don't book a cruise on the strength of it. It isn't fast but every little helps doesn't it.
