Upgrading a sky dish...

Hi
Not sure if this is correct place to post but hope someone can help.
I own a flat in a block which we have a mangament company who deals with cleaning and maintenance etc. We currently have a communal sky dish on the roof. I have received a letter from the management company saying they have a had a request from 1 owner to have the sky dish upgraded to sky plus and they requuire £35 from each flat to pay for this. I have virgin and have no intention of using sky plyus. Do I need to pay 'my share' of this? I haven't yet contacted the managment co.
I don't see why I should have to pay for something I have no intention of using!!!
Thanks

Maybe they're just canvassing for opinion at the moment? If they got letters back from all owners saying 'yeah, great' then it'd be something they'd go ahead with - I can't imagine they can force you to pay for something that is not necessary"a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0
