cheap flights to holland?

hi,
i am looking for return flights to amsterdam asap.
will be flying from stanstead....anybody know of any deals or codes at all?
am willing to go from harwich on ferry too if cheaper.
cheapest so far is £80 - seems alot for just me!!

The only flight from Stansted to Schiphol is Easyjet, and it's often tough to get cheap flights with them, especially at weekends or short notice.

I was looking today and saw flights on transavia.com from Stansted to Rotterdam airport Fri - Sun return in a few weeks time for 50 quid including taxes, but then you have to get to Amsterdam if that's your destination, which invloves a 20 min bus to Rotterdam Central station and then an hour train ride (together they work out at about 16 euros one way). It's a straightforward trip but obviously adds to the cost of the cheap flights.

Ryanair only fly to Eindhoven, again a bus to the station and then an extra half hour on the train compared to Rotterdam and an extra 4 euros or so one way.

For ferry/train combo check out amsterdamexpress.co.uk for returns from 50 quid from London Liverpool St/Cambridge/Norwich and a few other stations to any train station in Holland that takes your fancy. It's a relaxing way to go but pretty slow. The boat takes 3h40 by itself, plus then you've got to go from Hoek van Holland, through Rotterdam :-) You can buy singles too, either way, though have to use golondon.nl for a single from Holland to the uk (in dutch!).
