Which options when customising?

Basically when customizing on the dell website - the studio 15 - I stumble when choosing three options.
1. what is the difference going to be between core 2 duo t5800 and p8400? the p8400 costs 80 pounds more - so is the performance going to be a huge difference on vista?
2. when choosing memory, there is the 3gb and 4gb. with the 4gb costing 30 pounds more - so again is there going to be a huge difference on vista performance?
3. when choosing wi-fi options, there is the intel half mini card 5300 with a/g/n and the intel 5100 with a/b/g/n - so which one is better, im confused because the 5300 says its half mini card? or should i just stick with the one that comes free which is dell wireless with b/g?
I appreciate all answers

1) As for the processors, you'll get better performance out of the P8400. Basically, it can do more complex stuff, a bit quicker. For the tech-minded, it's the difference between 2 and 2.26 GHz (so a faster processor speed), and a bigger L2 cache (2MB vs 3MB). What are you using the laptop for, exactly?
2) The 4GB will be a matched pair of 2GB modules, as opposed to a 2GB and 1GB. Theoretically, this should work much better, but you'll need a 64-bit operating system to see past the 3GB section.
3) Half mini just means laptop-sized, I think. The 5300 and 5100 are for wireless-n routers. Unless you know you're using wireless-n technology, I wouldn't bother. If you do, go for the 5100 - it's cheaper, and is only SLIGHTLY slower.
Everyone will ask the same, when it comes to your questions - what EXACTLY do you plan to do with it? Still, I hope I've helped a little.0 -
1.) the p8400 is the faster of the 2 you listed, t5800 is 2.0Ghz while the p8400 is 2.25Ghz.
2.) You won't see much performance diffrence between 3Gb and 4Gb (But you can usually pick up memory cheaper yourself than through Dell)
3.) The 'a'/'b'/'g'/'n' are the types of wireless speeds available with 'n' being the fastest. but you'll need a compatible wireless router to get the best out of it. But it will slow down to what ever speed the laptop and router can use. The 1/2 mini card is just the physical size of the actual card inside the laptop, I don't think it will make much diffrence to you.Laters
