If you can be bothered waiting to get a price check on things then do. Was in Connswater the other day and picked up a few bits for DD, got playdoh set which wasn't marked down at all (but she really needed some anyway) got to checkout it was £8, was marked at over £14.
  • I agree its a poor sale and agin i feel sorry for the staff ..hope it can be saved

think its best to have the stuff reduced after christmas as staff would not have a job if everything went before

Do you think there is any hope of some of the stores being saved ?

  • On BBC Website today,,

Five Woolworths stores in Northern Ireland are set to close on 27 December, administrators have said.
Branches at Armagh, Ballymena, Enniskillen, Lurgan and Newry could close and the remaining stores shut by 5 January if a buyer is not found.
There are 19 Woolworths stores in Northern Ireland, employing around 400 people.
Administrators Deloitte said a final sale will see discounts of between 20-60% on DVDs, CDs and toys.
Woolworths was forced to call in administrators last month amid mounting debts and losses. Last week, a new sales record was set after a closing down sale was held at branches across the country.
