I don't shop there anyway but this might make me pop in and have a look round, and maybe buy something.
Before rushing out gasping for air!.....0 -
I only go there once a year to buy crimbo pressies and I'm at a loss when I go in, there's that much stuff (all with funny names) and I don't know what it is.
I grab a gift box usually and am outta there.
Can anyone help and enlighten me

I find Lush extremely open about which campaigns they support and where their fund raising goes...they have to be one of the most open and ethical companies on the High Street. The other High Street shop (which Lush used to have connection with) is perhaps more debatable since it's sale to a massive international corporation.
"All the proceeds from sales of Lush's Charity Pot hand cream are donated to organisations.."
As for Mr Constantines money...it's his. Plenty of other business people may support charities that we don't agree with but we don't hear about it
Best way to get to know their products is to take home a LushTimes from in store and read up and try their online forum. Also they are very good at giving samples if you ask. :heart2:I love the bubble bars (used in smaller pieces) and Big shampoo.0 -
MoneyHoney - Which shop are you referring to? Just out of interest?0

ms chocaholic, the website is a good place to have a look to get to grips with what things are, or grab a lush times as you go past the store, basically there are:
Bath ballistics - the solid bath bombs which you put into a ready run bath, they sometimes have glitter, petals, stars etc in
Bubble Bar slices - these are solid bubble bath! you can use the whole thing ifyou want to be decadent but even out of the small bars I usually get a good 3 or 4 baths! Break off a bit and crumble under running water.
solid shampoo - either in a bar or a slice cut from a block - get your hair wet then just rub over your hair a few times then use your hand to lather up just the same as you would with liquid shampoo. - same for conditioners
solid henna - instructions are given for this in store, bit lengthy for here
Shower jellies - I find best way to use is to keep the jelly in a pot and to rub it with a shower puff.
I think that is about it for the unusual stuff - they do great solid and fresh cleansers, but it is best to ask an assistant as they can give you advise for your skin type too.
Don't forget if you take 5 empty black pots back they will give you a free face mask (worth £4.99)
The reason Lush smells so strongly is that the majority of the items are unpackaged so instead of going into boots where you can't smell any smellies, in lush you smell nearly everything, lol!0 -
The boxes are lovely...I've not thrown out a Lush box yet. And the packaging popcorn can be put in the compost bin, after the cats have finished playing with it of course.Val.0

I can't wait for the Lush sale, my boyfriend got into the spirit of it last year, and went on a hunt to find me the best bargain box as my free gift lol.
Last year it was a free gift for every £15 you spend instore. If it's the same this year, I'll prob treat myself to a big gift box and by some extra boxes to keep as presents.
It's worth stocking up in this as lush stuff tends to be good for awhile after it's best by date. Determined to sort her finances!

I'm going to wait for the online "boxes" sale again as a) my local Lush didn't have hardly any Xmas stock left in the sale last year and b) I had a word with them last week and despite all the doom and gloom we're all supposed to be in now, they don't think they'll have much Xmas stock left by Xmas Eve again!
I couldn't believe what I got last year. I bought 3 large boxes for £60 and the box they came in was that big, that I could fit inside it! ( I'm 5ft 7" and size 10 just to give you an idea LOL)
Plus the dogs loved eating the popcorn!0
