i had a message come up on my screen last night
Windows has unexpectedly been closed down - what
I also seem to have lost my connection with my router
(we have 2 laptops and they have both lost the connection.
There was another details somewhere that mentioned 'blue screen'
Anybody got any ideas please.

i did that 3 times, still not able to connect to the internet.
Vista, i am at work so will not be able to read any more messages tonight

1. what type of router is it?
2. can you plug in a network./ethernet cable into the router linking laptop to router?0 -
In Vista go into "Event Viewer" then "System"
Look at the date and time when the blue screen appeared and you will get an error report of what caused it.0 -
thanks for your replies, the 'blue screen' message thing seems to have righted itself. I also lost all connections on broadband at the same time, dont know whether it was just a coincidence or not,
but after half an hour on the phone with Sky tonight using the yellow cable they have got both my laptops up and running again. Phew, i was a bit lost last night without it. Thanks again allmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
