Hi all
I have a monthly DD going through(for only £2.00) for Life Assurance for £25,000 lump sum to a company called Alexander Forbes.
I've had this policy for many years and seem to remember signing up to this when they were doing a promotion in The Sun newspaper ages ago.
Are they a reputable company?A search on this site doesn't reveal much.

they dont have anything logged against them with the FSA - ie a clean disciplinary history...so nothing outrageous to be worried about, IMHO.if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0

Great.
Thanks Porker:j0 -
FSA register rarely shows any information about a company's disciplinary history. Even if the company does have a problem.
Alexander Forbes is well known within the financial services industry. Particulary on occupational pensions. As IFAs they would normally place the business with companies. Although due to their size they may have negotiated "white labelled" products. So, their logo may be on the product but its not with them. Saying that, even the smallest IFA can get white labelled products in some areas.
So, you may find the product is not actually underwritten or serviced by them. Very much in a similar way Tesco Life Assurance isnt handled by Tesco.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
