I'm looking for work too. Lots of us are losing work right now.

Register with the agencies online -you complete your profile through a list of preferences and can upload your c.v. later, when it's ready. Once registered you'll be sent emails when a job matches your profile and can apply direct. Most agencies want you to register online before you walk into their offices. There are several 'umbrella' sites that will email you work from several different agencies. I've registered with Monstor.co.uk; indeed.co.uk; nhsjobs. Try gumtree too. If you type in your trade preference and jobs (e.g., "administration jobs") into google you'll probably get all the big sites on the first page. This means you can apply at any time.

There are a surprising number of people recruiting for permanent part-time and permanent jobs right now - I've applied for six jobs today.

I think the others have given good advice Just try as hard as you can to go straight from job to job instead of having a gap in employment. Good luck !

Thanks hiphouse, good luck with your searches. I have registered with a few online sites as you suggested, just waiting for my friend to give me back my cv and then i'll add that to the sites and wait for emails!!

samrties - sorry to hear this. Havent got anything to add really just wanted to send some hugs and i hope you find some more work soon.
Try not to worry to much, you have a little while to sort things out and im sure it will all be ok in the end.
Make sure you do eat little one needs you to be strong and healthy.

As you work from home does that mean you have your little one with you all the time or do you already pay for child care?

Hi Elizabeth, i don't have my little one with me whilst i work. My mum and mother in law look after her, free of charge bless em.
I have applied for lots of jobs, so fingers crossed xxx

lucky you that your mum and mil look after your little un, least you dont have to think of paying childcare costs as well! (something small to be glad about)

ooh, not fancy being a childminder?? not everyones cup of tea but working from home. or a proof reader??? not quite sure what they do but know its from home?!!!

Hello Rags, thanks for the reply. I am looking for customer service, admin, reception work etc.
I would love to be a midwife but thats not possible atm, just have to find a job that wil pay the bills for now.
