I don't mind paying for stuff on my debit card. However I always make sure I have ten pound or so in my wallet in cash. As there are places which need a minimum of five pound to use it. Like the train station. It has its advantages and its generally good. Not noticed any problems with Halifax's available balance, then again, I am usually careful of how much I spend anyway.
  • Minimum spends annoy me. Really annoy me. Burger King have a minimum spend of £7.50 in my local one, drives me up the wall (just for the record, eating £7.50's worth of Burger King will make you quite ill). Not as bad as places that don't take them at all though, of course...
