Discount Lift Passes and Ski Hire?

I'm off to Meribel in Feb and with the drop in value of the pound against the euro, things are now looking like they’re going to be pretty expensive! So, I was wondering if there are any places that do discount lift passes and/or ski hire for Meribel? A quick google didn’t seem to find me anything – all seem to be €225 for the Trois Valley and €182 for Meribel only… I’m also unsure if I need the Trois Valley pass or not, since I’ve not been to Meribel itself so not sure whether there is enough to keep us occupied for the 6 days?

Thanks,
Andy

  • the lift passes are regulated strongly so the chance are you wont get anything cheaper than what they say. I'm off there too and wondering if i should get mine now or wait and see how the £/euro goes.
    Good luck tho!
Also 3valleys pass is well worth it. Expensive but worth it.
  • oh if you were to get any sort of discount i guess going with a package tour that does accom, transfer, flight, lift pass etc etc....
  • sorry just rememberd for hire, if you shop around you might be able to get some sort of discount, barter with them see what happens !!

    Yeah, it's a tough call!
I'm going to wait it off - surely it can't get much worse?!!

Anyone got any good links to find lessons?!
  • You could try www.worldski.com Meribel is on the drop down.
  • Anyone who has not yet booked for skiing in Euroland could perhaps consider resorts Brits don't usually frequent. We're booked for a week at Val Cenis just before Easter with 120kms of piste ideal for beginners and intermediates. Lift passes are something like €140 and you get money off child passes for booking lessons at the same time, booking 2 adults gets one free child pass, 3 or more children get a further reduction. I don't think we could have afforded it otherwise. Accommodation was booked with Residhotel for €350 for the week for 6 people.
