I think I got a virus!!!

Hi
I recieved an offline message yesterday from a friend on msn, without thinking I clicked the link (I know , I know - I shouldn't've but I was half asleep!) - when I realised what I had done I closed link immeadiately, and me and sent message to friend to see if they had sent it to me, they had not!:eek:
I have AVG (full version) and the only thing expired is licence (Need to get new one but it says 54days left) I run it every day and have Vista with firewall.
Problem is I have noticed computer keeps freezing and running slow - and when on msn it keeps freezing and returning my messages!- Is this a virus - or just one of those things??? (If it is - how do I get rid?) HELP!!!

Have you run a full scan with AVG?
Try downloading and running Malwarebytes that's pretty good at getting rid of nasties.It's my problem, it's my problem

Try re-installing MSN Messenger. Also, I recommend Avast! Anti-virus, works well for me and is free. Seriously, get it!THE BIGGEST_MINT0
