Tiscali- is there someone else I can contact?

I moved house on the 7th Nov and signed up with Tiscali on 11th November for broadband and phone line rental. Unfortunately, they're one of the few companies that I can use in my area with an unlimited download limit, so I didn't have much choice!
They said that it would take around 4 days to connect the phone line and another 4 days to set up the broadband, except that the email that they then sent me said it would take 5-10 days to connect the broadband after phone activation.
The phone line went active after 4 days, except I've so far received no email or letter from Tiscali, as promised, and had to work out my own number by phoning a friend and using their caller ID. The broadband was still not active. I waited 12 working days and then contacted Tiscali and they said that it could take 12 working days, plus 2 days to get the modem (except the line hadn't been activated yet and this WAS after 12 working days!)
I then phoned on 4th December and was told that there had been a problem with the order- it had got 'stuck' on their system. They said it was now sorted out and I would receive my user details the following week.
On 5th December I received a missed call on my mobile with a withheld number. I phoned Tiscali again on the 8th December because I still had no broadband and was passed from pillar to post- the broadband people claimed that I didn't even have a phone line with them, let alone a broadband order, and the activation people said that they had tried to phone me on 5th December and they would 'make a note on the system' for someone to call me back. The call centre girl couldn't tell me what the call was about, when they would phone me or what the problem was.
Now it's 11th December, I've had no call from Tiscali and I'm seriously worried that the broadband isn't going to be connected before the new year. I run an eBay business, so I'm having to do all my work in the library's limited 1 hour internet slots. I've hardly been able to put anything up for sale during the businest month of the year and my finances are starting to seriously suffer for it.
Is there anyone else that I can contact about this? Does anyone know of a direct line to the activation team department? Or the email or number of a manager who may be able to help? I know that when I phone them again I'm going to get the same 'they'll call you' response. :mad:

sorry can't help,this might be better on the telephones and internet board,don't know how to get it moved.0

tiscali are crap really - you get what you pay for in respect of customoer service etc, if you are operating a business ebay and the like and oyu want good service then you need to go with the more reptuible companies who actualy call you back even if that means you have to pay for a higher gig allowance- if your using oyur broadband for buisness like ebay etc you wont in effect use much of the standard allowance that companies give you unless you donwload alot of films which are the main reasons for capping download limits0
