Broken TV sent through ebay

I sent a portable tv through clickaparce it arrived with the screen smashed, I sold the tv through ebay. It was in full working order when it left me, I phoned the courier who said it is not insured, (I should have read the 'small print') Does anyone know if this will be insured through paypal? I symathise with the recipient, (he said the tv must have been dropped by the courier) I have no way of knowing who broke the tv or when it happened.

This happened to me and the courier refused to pay, until I emailed them a small-claims county court application form which I had completed and told them this is what I would be filing unless they paid up.
If the TV is only worth £50 or £100 it's not worth their time and hassle to defend such a claim. Don't let them get away with it.0 -
Do you know the TV is actually damaged. I suggest asking for a photo of the damaged TV. As some people on Ebay like to buy things then claim there damaged to get a refund.
At the least this will support any claim for damage by the courier.0
