Thursday 11/12/2008 What small dfw things have you done today???

:D When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today I will:
  • check online banking
  • update spreadsheets
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • add some coins to sealed pot
  • swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership - if I get time
  • storecupbord tea
Good morning folks, another cold and frosty day here. Lots to do here this morning so better go and get stuck in.
Have a good day everyone:D

    Hi All,

Quite frosty here - lucky I don't have to go out. Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today.

Is it just me, or are all the adverts on tv for alcohol, perfume and cold remedies (which we then go into Boots to buy, but ask for own brand as we know they are the same  )

Sat here in jogging bottoms and a jogging top (I don't know whether I should be wearing them, as I don't jog anywhere), as I am still quite cold (but swetting)

    Today I have/will do.........
    • Breakfast, lunch and dinner from storecupboard
    • Not spend any money
    • Checked online anking - no suprises
    • Signed up to TAB bringo - no free £1 deposit.....will check tomorrow
    • Wash on 30 degrees
    • Sent messages to friends on Facebook rather than texting

Think that is about it, take care everyone......have a great day

    Take care,

    Hi,

Just checked online, and it looks as though I will only get 2 days of SSP £30  surely this needs to be upped! Do you think that the Government suvive on this amount?

Oh well, at least I am robbing the taxman this week (I normally have £80 per week deducted from my wages in tax and NI) ~ should I phone them to tell them?

    Haha
