Just got the actual email invite & it says VIP starts at 5pm, but my slot has definately been confirmed at 4.30pm

Quick update.

Phoned about 5 times yesterday. Given different stories everytime. Twice told not chosen. Twice told would have to wait until today, as they couldn't tell me if I was chosen!! Fifth time I discussed closing my account. I was polite everytime, but got really fed up with all the different stories. Phoned 5 minutes ago and have now been told I do have a slot, but would have to wait until after 4.00pm to receive e-mail. Tried one last plead and she has now booked me the 5.30 slot. Thrilled to bits!!!! I am now awaiting the confirmation e-mail. Hope it comes soon. Just logged into account and my slot confirmation is now showing. Hooray!!

Just had the email sent to me and it says that 5pm is the first slot. This makes sense as there is a free delivery offer up until 5pm. Therefore if you have a 4.30pm slot why not try and get free delivery too! There isn't a code so not sure if it will work but worth a try if you get your order in by 5pm.

Thanks to all you for letting me know you could log in before you get the email. I never knew that! As a result I too got a 5pm slot.

last year I logged out cause we had guests and couldn't get back in :mad: until the sale started for everyone only got a few bits ordered x

Well, it seems like everyone has been given a slot, but if you count how many people are actually posting on the thread, its not so many...not considering how much stock Next has and how many people shop in their sale. I've always had a VIP slot that's either the first or second half an hour and end up being able to order probably 80-90% of what I've listed.

Strangely its stuff like men's underwear and pjs that seem to go out of stock first!! I've never had a problem with ladies suits/tops/shoes/mens suits/jumpers etc...Childrens stuff just disppears immediately but usually there is less on sale than this year so will be interesting to see how much stuff I manage to order for my daughter.

My biggest problems with the sale are: ordering matching bits of suits and half of it not turning up 4 weeks later....Next messing returns up...I'm considering returning big items to my nearest store as via the courier seems to take up to 2 weeks to get credited by via the store its within a couple of hours...when you order £1000-2000 worth of stuff to try on and return over half of it...this makes a big difference!

I also find that checking the listings after 10-12 days of the sale is good for getting items that were originally out of stock as people have returned them! Last tip from me...even the preview listing is showing something as out of your size, its worth noting the code down and trying to buy it in the actual sale as I find sizes go in and out of stock all the time and I've managed to get things in the past that I thought weren't available.

Emweaver - bodes well for the future for you...it seems that once people get a vip invite...it tends to be repeated in future sales (in most cases).

I have been looking at the sale listing since yesterday - and I Can't believe that items are already being removed from the sale.! - is that because the staff get first pick or something?
