I got a slot too 5pm. So far I have always managed to get one. I don't know what process they use to decide who should be VIP's cos although I do spend a lot in the sales, I very rarely ever buy anything at full price. In fact I can probably say I have only ordered 2 or 3 things at full price over a 4/5 year period. Only other time I buy is in their preview 15% off where I usually buy my kids school uniform.
I mostly buy stuff for the kids. I buy for the following year ahead.
I hope those of you who don't yet have a slot manage to get one tomorrow. Don't give up hope! Fingers crossed for you.

Before the new Directory is available, I get sent a preview directory which contains most but not all items that are going to be available in new book. They also send me an email about this. I thought all next customers got this. You get so many days to order at the discounted price 15% off. Sometimes you have to wait a couple of months for the items to become available, other items are already in stock.
I wonder if everyone who has VIP slots gets the preview books?!? Might be worth checking out? ..... Then maybe you could contact next and request to recieve the preview books might just get you into the VIP slots too! Dunno but worth a try!

Just logged on and the eariest slot available now is 5.30. I have 5pm

I didnt get a slot so much i want to buy just hope a few bits are left once all the VIP's are finished purchasing what they want! x

Make sure if you can't see a vip link you clear your cookies and check again, cos this stopped me seeing my invite at the summer sale. It happened to loads of people on hotdeals. Especially if you've been told you've an invite and can't see it cos I bet that's the problem.

I was just wondering about this, are the prices going to be even cheaper, they show the prices as listed in the directory without the VAT being taken off. Presumably there will be another 2.5% off the sale prices, plus Quidco of course.

actually quidco is saying they wont ive cashback on the vip sale but im still hoping!

Oh yes you're right, no quidco on VIP sales, oh well was only 2%.
