Buildings Insurance - Why so cheap ?

I recently received my renewall notice from the Pru. About £350.
I used the sites recommemneded.
Confiused got as far as £295 - the AA i think.
Insurance Supermarket also found the Liverpool Voctoria at less than £200.
I have just gone with LV - for £134.
Cover seems the same.
Why so cheap ?

better claims experience for your type of cover perhaps, or maybe liverpool victoria just think they may be able to sell you some other financial products during the year, or maybe they're just confident that they'll keep you as a customer for longer, therefore they can earn less each year, but over a greater number of years - if you see what i mean! All insurers have slightly different profiles of who they want to cover, by using a broker you are more likely to discover the firm that wants your particular risk, and therefore prices accordingly.

    HTH!
if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.
