problems with Lexmark printer z600

Help required, i am currently trying to re-install my lexmark z600 series printer. for some reason after the files have been copied from the installation disk the following message appears"An error occured during the the installation of the device . The RPC server is unavailable." The operating system is Windows XP.

Go to Start>Run, type services.msc and hit [Enter]. Make sure that the following services are set accordingly:
- Remote Procedure Call (RPC) - Started, Automatic
- Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator - Manual

thanks for the advice i'm afraid that did not help i will get on the microsoft page to get the latest service pack to see if that helps. Once again thanks0
