they are the best about ^^^ i use Avira at the mo & would say its better than avg
and imo comodo firewall is great

i'm having problems installing avast at 1st it said an error while completing set up process so i uninstalled to try again now it says on start up..... aswcmnos.dll not found so i tried installing again and its still saying there was an error again i dont want to go back to avg but i'm stuck what to do i've saved a copy of the set up log but it's gobbledygook to me anyone advise on what to do plz

You may have got a corrupt download for whatever reason.
Get another and save to disc and then install.
It may be wise to remove the current installed version first.
You must not have more than one AV program running, so disable any other currently running during setup.........just ensure you are offline during this time.
