Conversion of Quicktime mov file to dvd

Options
Can you tell me in easy terms how to convert short movie clips from my digi camera which are saved in mov files to something that will play on a standard dvd player? Thanks. I have googled and read that you need to save on cd-rw but which is the easiest freeware to use and what settings do I use.

I am unaware of any freeware that can do this. However, Nero vision (2 or 3) can do this very easily and if you don't already have it there is a 30-day trial.

Another program that you could use is TMPGEnc, which is also available on a 30-day trial for Mpeg2 encoding but is free for Mpeg1 encoding.

I would recommend Nero though, and once installed it will walk you through the whole process.
