According to the guy that came this morning, we need a new control pad, it's a Danfoss FP715 he said it will cost £120+vat. Is this a good price? Could we do it ourselves? Does it have to be this control pad? We have a Gloworm Ultimate boiler, any help or suggestions from anyone please? Thanks in advance!

It's a perfectly reasonable price. You could do it yourself. You don't need to fit a Danfoss, you could fit any twin channel programmer.0

Er, not really

Less than £40, and if you replace like for like, it'll use the same backplate, so there's not even any need to make any change to the wiring. I don't know this one personally, some you can just remove the old unit, and replace with the new one, and takes a couple of minutes.
......Just checked the installation instructions, new one plugs straight in.0
