Miss P's Debt free Deadline.....

  • Evening all!

Piq - the hands and knees thing is great...except I got fed up halfway through and ended up finishing the floor by doing a very elegant swan lake skating type thing with me skating around on two floor cloths! (Had to be seen to be believed!!!:rotfl: )

KTjazz.....going to try and keep alcohol free as long as possible. Was getting into drinking far too much and I really can't afford it!! In FACT, I've just worked out that by putting my alcohol money towards my debts would bring down my debt free date to June 2015!! Wahey! 2 years would be knocked off just like that! I'm realistic enough to know that its not likely to pan out exactly like that but the possibility IS there!

Two years!! that's an amazing amount of time to shorten the DFD, even it's just 18 months, what a difference :T

I like the skating idea, I expect KT will find you a skating dot soon :rotfl:

  • She DOES have an endless supply of dotties!

The CCCS rang this morning to confirm the changes to my DMP and, I have to say, the woman I spoke to was LOVELY! She even congratulated me on clearing what I have so far. Made me feel really good. So to all you CCCS people...I think you're great! :D

Bit distracted this morning...haven't even done my PAD yet. Friend rung to say her son had been shot at school by someone with a BB gun! Luckily he is ok (it hit his pocket which he luckily had his mobile phone in) but she's very upset and angry. I've advised her to call the police as the school hasn't (can you believe that  ).

Anyways, back on track. Off to do my PAD and to transfer £4 into internet savings in lieu of a bottle of wine tonight!

    Piq...I'm still chuckling.....

    Hello!

You wandered into my thread so I'm pulling up a seat and commenting on yours!

Good luck with your debt-free push. I have no idea when I will be clear of mine, but would like to clear 2k in 2009, which I feel is quite a big ask for me!

Good luck, you're in my subscribed threads now!

  • Gosh, that's blooming awful about your friend's son Miss Piggy! I take it it's a secondary school? Hope all will be ok.

You are doing amazing on the no alcohol days, well done. I don't think I would like to do that yet (although I don't drink in the week as much as I used to) However, I really need to find the motivation to stop smoking - my pocket and health would be so grateful! :o

    Have a good day

  • Hello everyone!!!

KT - love that little skating smilie!!! I DID look like that on my floor cloths...honest!!!

Mrsaudus2b - Sons friend is fine. They have caught the offender and he has been expelled! Seems theres a zero tolerance on that sort of thing in that school. Good for them!

Well the weekend was ok. Spent money but not to excess. Still got everything I wanted but I was a bit more savvy about it this year. Its this last couple of weeks when I usually blow the budget...getting in the christmas spirit and going out and buying lots of last minute stuff!!

£4 was transferred to my internet savings this morning as no wine last night. Thats 14 days now without a drink and am feeling quite proud of myself. Never gone that long before except when I was pregnant!

Done my PAD today too - £3 to studio account. Can't wait to get shot of it. Three months and is should be gone. And then I'll do my PAD into my internet savings.

Well done on the 14 days without wine, that's very impressive indeed! I was going to start after Christmas, but looks like I'm starting now as I'm on anti-biotics. I think I shall borrow your idea and put the wine money aside, possibly for a little treat. I shall decide later...

Good idea! You could then treat yourself in the january sales once you are feeling better.
