You will find a lot of that kind of talk not only from Zopa staff but from the individuals who moderate their forums.sabretoothtigger wrote: »'FSA said there was nothing to regulate as far as they were concerned.'
!!!!!!
It might be an idea to ask someone at Zopa why they recently closed down their operations in the USA. I for one would be very interested in their response (my guess is that they will blame the credit crunch).0 -
Can I suggest that all disagreements about Zopa forums be left in Zopa.0

I have decided to try Zopa again (gave up last time, because I was determined to get a rate better than I could in a bank (6% at the time), and no-one wanted my money)... but I'm chicken, so I've only put £20 in. I'm aiming for 8% now. I don't care if I lose £20, I'm just seeing what happens.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Is that 8% before or after bad debt ? If before then you may find it difficult to get it lent out. With over £1,250,000 on offer I think Zopa needs some more borrowers not lenders at the moment !0 -
God knows.. i'm too into the baileys right now to care. But I'm in the ZOPA on my offers, with lending speed high, so I'll see more when I'm sober.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012
