Tearing my hair out here, i have had all me doors taken back to bare wood, and they look fantastic, we are now getting them hung the right way round, so they open against the wall, rather than into the room, only think is all the doors had old locks in with the normal catch, then the mortice bit underneath which is always in, we are replacing all these, so i went out and bought a shedload only for me to realise, that out of all the the ones i bought, 4 of em wont work as the catch needs to be the other ways round, me chippy said that i need to get reverse locks so i went to B&Q and screwfix and i got puzzled looks from the staff, anyone know where i can get these? or if they exist.

Do you mean the brass latch that sticks out of the mortice bit (the one tapered on one side so door can be pushed closed)?
If so, just unscrew the side plate of the lock and turn the brass latch round the other way and screw the side back on. Take it apart carefully as the spring often pops out and you'll need to see how it goes to put it back together.Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
Thats the one, we tried to do that, but the type of lock that i bought dont permit that0
