1)Every now and then for the past few weeks we have had a Norton pop up appear, even though we have never had Norton. We had McAfee for a few years and now use Avast.
2) My computer has decided to stop remembering the time and date set up so is going back to 0;00 every time you switch it on. Twice we have had a black screen with F1 to continue or F2 to set up so I have set it back up again but it doesn't seem to remember it.
3) This morning internet explorer has decided a lot of my favourites have problems with their security navigation and is telling me not to go to that page.
Edited to add that this last problem seems to have cured itself now that I have set the time AGAIN! Would it have had something to do with that?
Is my computer on its last legs?
Please help!

1. The internal cmos battery is starting to fail on your pc's motherboard, so it's losing the stored bios settings. this need sto be replaced.
2. Because a lot of security stuff is mapped to times & dates, if the date is askew then it will put all manner of security checks askew.
3. If you are getting Norton stuff appearing, download the Norton Removal Tool from the Norton Website and run it.
4. Go to the McAfee Website and download the McAfee Remval Tool. Run it too.
If this doesn't work, there is a possibilty you do have a virus Avast can't remove.0 -
