Terms and conditions

1. Enter online at marksandspencer.com/harrypotter. Only online registrations will be accepted as entries.
2. The first prize consists of a four night trip to Los Angeles, California worth approximately £4,600, including flights, travel insurance, deluxe VIP tour of Warner Bros. Studios, and car hire (incl. insurance). The prize is for up to two adults and two children 15 years old or under. At least one person travelling must be 25 years old or older. Children must be at least 8 years old to tour the Warner Bros. lot.
3. The first prize also includes a screening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film (cert tbc) and is subject to availability. The winner is eligible to preview the film in California, provided that the trip prize is taken within 1 week prior to the film’s national US release. Should the winner not be able to take the trip within this time frame, they will be receive cinema tickets to view the film in the UK after its general release.
4. There are also 300 runners-up prizes of a 19” Lord Voldemort™ collector figurine.
5. Only one entry per person.
6. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, excluding employees of Marks and Spencer plc. (M&S), Warner Bros. Entertainment UK Limited and any other agency involved with the promotion.
7. This competition is open to customers aged 18 years old or older.
8. Closing date for entries to this competition is midnight on 31st December 2008.
9. The prize draw will take place on 2nd January 2009 when the first prize winner will be randomly selected by an independent person from all entries received.
10. The runners up prizes will be awarded to the next 300 names randomly selected.
11. M&S’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. M&S will notify the winners by phone no later than close of play on 9th January 2009.
13. The prize’s are non-transferable and non-refundable and are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative.
14. No purchase necessary.
15. The first prize includes four return economy flights to Los Angeles direct from a London airport, UK transfers are not included. The winner and guests must arrange their own transport to and from the departure airport.
16. The first prize does not include domestic travel, meals other than stated or additional expenses.
17. Accommodation cannot be confirmed until trip is booked and is on a room only basis, sharing one room, in a 4 star hotel.
18. The first prize winner and their guests must have valid passports and visas if applicable.
19. For car hire the driver must be 25 years old or over and hold a full, clean valid licence.
20. The first prize must be taken between 1st June 2009 and 31st August 2009. The package will run Thursday-Monday (arriving home on Tuesday). Subject to availability.
21. The first prize winner must complete all booking formalities with the Promoter.
22. Provision of the first prize is subject to the winner and the winner’s guests: (a) signing a Prize Acceptance Form; and (b) accepting all terms and conditions of third parties involved in the prize (to be provided with the Prize Acceptance Form).
23. The promoter of this competition is Performance Entertainment Limited.
24. The winner and guests may be required to take part in reasonable post-competition publicity for M&S. and Warner Bros. Entertainment UK Limited and may be filmed, photographed or otherwise recorded by M&S and Warner Bros. Entertainment UK Limited or other third parties for publicity and the winners consent to the use of their personal data for such purposes.
25. Entry into the prize draw assumes acceptance of these terms and conditions and agreement to be bound by the decisions of the Promoter.
26. Prize details are correct at date of publication. Performance Entertainment Limited reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes for a prize of a similar value should the original prize become unavailable for any reason.
27. The promotion shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
