Here's one reply I've had:-
"Judging by the size and the loft, it looks like a spoon mashie, possibly about 100 years old.may need to wiki Geof. Bullock"
I've tried googling the name as a golf club manufacturer - but no luck. Which part of the UK are you in? Do you reckon Bullock is the maker, or some posh bloke that had all his clubs personally engraved with his name?0 -

my parents have a large garden/area of land and over the last 18 years that they've lived there my dad has amassed a colection of about 500 glass bottles, mostly still in tact and in decent condition. we've sandy soil so a quick rinse down and a wipe and most are good as new. he even bought a book once that valued old bottles, and ended up finding that one of his was worth £200

Sally A - I've not registered to see the musket balls although wikipedia have a good picture and info. Thanks for informing me what the other forum thought about my find. I didn't think it would be that old. I've no idea whether the name is the maker or the "owner" of the spoon mashie. Still trying to discover more.
Thanks also for other replies. elantan - How unusual finding a house? How long did it take for this discovery?0 -
Sally A wrote:I've tried googling the name to no avail. Do you think Bullock (Does it really say Geoff?) might have been the owner that had the heads specially engraved?Reply: he would have been a pro golfer i suspect
Another opinion

Thanks for the further reply.
Sally A - No I am not convinced it says "Geoff"; more like Geo.F.Bullock (apparently Geo is an abbreviation of George). Also, I've managed to clean the golf putter and have revealed a picture of a flag with REG underneath (left of Geo.F.Bullock) and along the base it says "RUSTLESS".
I haven't emailed the pictures to anybody else yet so do not know if Bullock was the owner, manufacturer, professional golfer or whatever.0 -
I dug up a 1939 .303 rifle cartridge today, must have been issued to the Home Guard I would have thought. Unfired and with the bullet missing, I bet there is an interesting story behind that.
Found it in the front garden, right next to the road.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
