Just bought Linkys WAG3545, trying to setup, not very successfully.
EVerythings working okay and I'm connecting to the internet, don't ask me how, sheer luck I think.
Anyway when I try to access their site, using 192.168.1.1 and put in "admin" and password, I keep getting the error 401, now I've reset my router, etc, but I still can't get into this site to configurate my settings.
Also when using disc to setup it asks for Username and password, do I enter the one for my isp, not sure about this one?
Also when I go into Network Settings I was getting 2 connections one for Gateway and one for Lan, I seem to have lost the gateway setting now. But I don't know which one was correct,
I'm at a total loss and any help would be appreciated, this is all new to me and quite honestly I'm clueless as you can gather.
Thanks

There may be a firewall rule blocking access to 192.168.1.1 and try disabling firewall to make certain.
Have you also cloned the MAC address of the PC that was initially registered with your ISP?0 -

Enter admin for the username and admin for the password. That's from your WAG354G user guide.

Hi
Thanks for all the replies, I had to reset my router in the end, and then I could connect to Linkys page, where I could config the router.
2 More questions
1. I have enabled the firewall on the router, I also have Sygate running, can I disable Sygate now, seeing as its an always on connection, I need to be secure.
2. In the taskbar I now have 2 icons, one for LAN and 1 for router is this normal, as before I've only ever had 1 showing.
Thanks for any advice.0 -

Leave the Sygate software firewall running. Your router firewall/NAT will only block incoming unsolicted connections. The software firewall will block unauthorised outgoing connections from your pc (e.g. spyware and Trojans).2. In the taskbar I now have 2 icons, one for LAN and 1 for router is this normal, as before I've only ever had 1 showing.
You only really need the LAN one showing (if at all). Right click on the other and click on Properties then uncheck 'Show Icon in Notification Area when connected.'
