Idea - Recipe Reviews

Options
I have got to say the indexed collection of recipes we now have available to us on MSE has got to be one of the best resources ever and I personally use it a lot.:j I know a lot of people who are not necessarily old style regulars also dip in and out of the collection when in need of inspiratation.

Two things - firstly thanks to squeaky and crew who index the collection it must take hours - its so appreciated :A

Secondly and feel free to flame me squeaky if it would take too much time - it would be great to see peoples reviews/comments/tips after each recipe. I am fairly new to the kitchen in my house (despite living here for 12 years!) in fact i would say i have only just discovered it has cooking facilities !! Anyway that means i need all the advice i can get!

So, in case you think its a good idea i would like to add a review

Curry Queens Curry Night
Wow how can you improve on perfect!! I am now ruined for take away curries and can regularly be seen in my kitchen in floods of tears when making the curry sauce. I have tried the Bhuna with prawns and lamb (not together) as well as chicken and they were gorgeous.

So if you have tried an MSE indexed collection recipe tell us what you thought and if you made any alterations let us know

Sorry squeaky if this is even more work for you - just delete the thread if it is -im used to that!!!!!!:D ;)

The only way I can see it working is if there was a link in every recipe directing the reader to another post on a seperate review thread. It would be a lot of work for the board guides to insert the links and would need updating everytime a new review was added.

I like the idea as I followed a recipe last week and it was a total disaster :D

    OK... hm...

It's certainly possible. Time is the thing. OK - I'll see how it goes - I know there's going to be a quick rush of reviews to start with, so you'll have to bear with me if I fall behind - especially as I'm going to be a way for a long weekend this week.

One thing though - give me a minute and I'll go find the thread dedicated to the reviews of CQ's Curry Recipe and link it from here and if that's the one you'd like to post a review for plase do so on that thread, otherwise this one is going to be hundreds of pages long all about the same recipe :)

I'll edit that link in shortly.

You can review CQ's World Famous Curry Recipe here.

There isn't a mechanism to do that available in the forum tool kit. It'll have to be hand crafted by a BG.

As I said - I'll see how it goes... :)
