NEW UK Call Checker Feedback Wanted

Hi folks, we're nearly at the end of the development process for the UK calls checker

I'd love the telephone nerds views on the newest incarnation
(note the address of the hyperlink is temporary so please dont bookmark it)

A few notes before you feedback

1. We're only looking at the functionality of the call checker. Ignore the text at the top at bottom, that is copied directly from the Int call checker and needs to be totally rewritten with new notes and explanations, but you folks dont need those

2. Remember this is not a standalone cheapest calls system it is for override providers only and the main note at the top will say "read in conjunction with cheapest home phone article"

3. In mobiles I've had it changed. It used to have 'fixed tariff' and 'network dependent tariff on seperate pages' i wanted it together so its all on one page. Simply-fone is in the wrong column and that needs changing

4. For normal calls we have to add in BT at 5.5p per call manually and that'll come

5. Some personal numbers are charged at different rates, that's simply too complex to do, so a disclaimer to that effect will go in that the rates given are for most personal number calls

6. You'll see i've moved away from the official names for most call types. My rationale is people who dont know about phones will find it easier, and those who do know about phones don't need an explanation

Any feedback before we go to final stages welcome.

Martin

Personally, I prefer to see tariffs on a matrix table, rather than clicking for individual call types.

Martin, what about 0844 and 0871 non-geo number ranges in the drop-down list?

Have these been accidently forgotten or just left-off simply due to the lack of competitive prices on these number ranges? I assume its the latter in which case you may want to just mention somewhere that for 0844/0871 number ranges it's best to continue using BT.

... but other than that it looks fine (works in IE now as well!)

    Thanks Martin

    Update:

Just noticed Michaels had posted this before me. At time of writing the post no-one had posted it but obviously took me too long to write the post out. I'll have to be quicker. lol. :rotfl:

    Hi,
I'm having some difficulty in understanding the mobile charges via the override providers mentioned. Am I right in saying that there isn't really any point in using any of the network specific providers as the 'all network providers' at the medium-top end are always better value?
I think a note that confirms this (if it is correct) would clear up any ambiguity.
Also, maybe a note about numbers ported from other networks (if they are charged at the previous network's rate, or the current network's rate.
    Other than that, Looks great.
