BT Loss of Business Compensation

I am currently selling my business and the new owners take over in january.

I telephoned BT last week to let them know the lines need to be transfered on 5th jan and they said they would put in an order for this to happen on this date.

This morning a customer comes into my shop and says we cant get through on your phones, I have 2 lines with BT. So i rang on my mobile to report the fault and they tell me they have cut me off by accident a month too early and my lines cant be reconnected because there is a chance they have taken them out of the exchange

This is my busiest time of year, nobody can get through, I cant even use my credit card machine, Im losing hundreds each day because of their incompetence.

Help, what can I do?

    This usually produces a quick response.
  • you need to go to chaimans office at BT. when you say the line has been taken from the exchange this means it is ceased and you will have to pay for reconnection. Can i ask was it a feature line i.e dial 9 for an outside line?if it is there are emergency reconnection proceedures to get you reconected contact bt bisiness sales to get it done
